The joining of Heaven and Earth

All of God’s people experience Him differently.  I often experience the Holy Spirit in a conversation, and recently He led me to start posting some of our conversations.  I speak in italics, and our Lord in bold print. click here to read about how this series came to be.

What is Heaven?

It is your Kingdom, your domain.

That is correct. What is earth?

It is your creation. A separate reality where you are building your eternal family.

Yes. What do you think will happen when Heaven and Earth are joined on That Day?

Heaven will cleanse, heal and purify the Earth and all of this creation, and the two will become one. Then your people will enjoy the wonder of your creation without the distortion of sin and in the glory of your direct presence.

To a degree, yes. But it is more than that. Heaven joining Earth will not merely “heal” the Earth and all of creation, though it will. It will glorify it, increase it, magnify it a thousand times. Beauty and wonder will be around every turn. And you will love it all the more because of what you experienced apart from me, and because you have seen what evil, pride and rebellion has wrought. For all eternity you will live with gratitude and joy and gladly submit to my glorious rule, because the horror of sin will have been seared into your soul. The rebellion of Lucifer, and all the pain that it has caused, will never happen again. You will remember what happens when you seek to rule yourselves – just look around. So your eyes will never wander from me, never think you could do better, and I will love you fully and completely for all time. This is the Lord.
