Desire God…not the gifts.

All of God’s people experience Him differently.  I often experience the Holy Spirit in a conversation, and recently He led me to start posting some of our conversations.  I speak in italics, and our Lord in bold print. click here to read about how this series came to be.

Do not desire signs…desire me.  This is the problem with signs, miracles, gifts.  Instead of pointing to me, as intended, and sparking your desire to be with me, you focus on the gifts.  So I must be careful with them.  Too much, and you start to believe they say something about you rather than me.  Be humble, vigilantly crush pride, that my voice, signs, gifts may flow through you rather than merely to you.  Do no make yourself a spectacle.  Make a spectacle of me…then your soul will be full and satisfied as I am glorified, and those around you will experience the same.
