Live life like it’s a pick-up game…

Father, how do I rest in You…without worry or fear or concern, but still focused and excellent? For so long I have been motivated by fear of failure, worry about disappointing, concern over provision. As these motivations and concerns have greatly diminished, how do I stay focused and hard-working?

It’s like a pick-up game in basketball. Play hard! Every play! On offense and defense. Not because if you don’t you will get kicked off the team…or lose your house. But because it is more fun, and it is the right thing to do! Live your life this way – hard and well and fearless. With open hands, and a lion’s heart. Not in fear of some adverse consequence, but because it is fun and right. This is the Lord.
