Obedience & Wise Counsel

My sheep know my voice, and my servants hear my voice. Do not let doubt drown your efforts and slow your mind. Trust me and rest in me. When you know the work you are to do, do it. Don’t wait for the validation of others.

What about the wisdom of counsel? of many?

Good question. There is a time for that. But not when it bogs you down and discourages. Wise counsel, counsel from me, always moves you forward, or it warns. It never just plants seeds of doubt without direction or conviction. This is fear, not counsel. Fear is not counsel; it is just fear. If someone sows fear in you, be aware that they are probably speaking more from their own heart than mine. If someone admonishes, or gives counsel, take heed – it may be from me. If they encourage you to seek me for clarity, or point out sin, take heed – it may be from me. If they are simply sowing fear or division, be aware of the Enemy or self-serving fear.
