Importance of Praising God

All of God’s people experience Him differently.  I often experience the Holy Spirit in a conversation, and recently He led me to start posting some of our conversations.  I speak in italics, and our Lord in bold print. click here to read about how this series came to be.

Today I want you to sit in praise, not instruction. Praise me! Enjoy me! Lavish words upon me. You will be surprised how much joy this brings you. As a fine steak, a choice wine, an exquisite cigar give you pleasure, so do words of praise for me. I designed you, so this is so. This is because your only hope of a life of joy and peace and holy pleasure is to be close to me. So I designed you to receive great pleasure from praising and worshipping me. Likewise, I designed you to experience sadness, loss, emptiness, and confusion, the further you stray from me. This is not to punish or be vindictive…it is to draw you back to me for your own sake. So praise me constantly, over and over, to the high heavens without ceasing. Not because I need it, though I love it…but because you do. The more you praise and worship me, the more joy and peace you will experience. This is a universal law as immutable as gravity, as predictable as the rising sun. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” Amen.
