Clerestory, in partnership with Small Stories Studio, has produced a 20-minute documentary called “A Place to Be Fed”, the story behind Carver Jones Market and James Harris’ lifelong journey to bring hope and healing to food desert communities.

The very first Carver Jones Market opened in Fairfield, AL on July 31st, bringing a grocery store to the Fairfield area for the first time in 8 years.  In an effort to raise the remaining funds needed to insure that this initial store has the optimal opportunity for success, Clerestory will host a premier screening and fundraiser of “A Place to Be Fed” at the Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema in downtown Birmingham on Wednesday, September 18th from 6-8pm.  Below and attached are details and ticket information as well as a 3-minute trailer of the film.  We would greatly appreciate if you could come, and bring a few friends with you!

There is limited seating and we’d love to see you there.  PLEASE CLICK HERE to buy tickets – they are $50 each.  There are also some sponsorship options.  Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need more details.
